My Thoughts on How Music Has Changed Over the Years.

 Over the years music has changed a lot. I believe that this can be seen as a good thing and also a bad thing. In the past, I feel like the genres were more separate than how they are today. Today I feel like they are just all blended together in most songs with some exceptions here and there. In my personal opinion, I don't feel like modern music is as powerful as the music produced before the 2000s. Yes, there are some that can be lyrically powerful and can definitely have an impact, but comparing these songs to the songs produced 20+ years ago, I feel like the guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, etc, just make the songs even more powerful and emotional. It also just shows how much time went into producing these songs. I'm not saying people don't take time and really try to produce quality music now, but it is definitely a lot easier now compared to back then. Technology has for sure played a big role in the development and change in music over time, and without it, I think things would be a lot different. Technology can do so much and I think technology is one of the main reasons music is so different now. It opens the door to so many new sounds and effects that were never available in the past and it evolves music all the time.
